»»»»»»»» Brandon Marshall leads list of Week 2 Studs- Brandon Marshall catches 18 balls
»»»»»»»» Brandon Marshall ties records for second most catches
Second only to Terrell Owens’ 20 catches in a game, Brandon Marshall torched the Chargers secondary for 18 catches for 166 yards. Seems like Jay Cutler (350 yds, 4 TD’s, 1 INT) gave Brandon Marshall some love his first game back from suspension. He showcased Eddie Royal last week, and did the same for Marshall this week. Looks like the winner in all this may end up being Jay Cutler. The Broncos looked like the Peyton Manning and the Colts from a couple years ago. Their offense looked unstoppable. Cutler was just able to sit back and zone in on Marshall at will. I did draft Selvin Young in one of my leagues, and I was worried going into Week 2 with him because the Broncos coaching staff seem to be content with the runningback by committee approach which kills us fantasy owners. Although Selvin Young ran for 78 yards, 49 came off of 1 run and he only had 8 carries. Luckily I was able to draft Chris Johnson of the Titans, who I did start today.
My All-Stud Team from Sunday include:
QB – Jay Cutler (350 yards, 4 TDs)
RB – Clinton Portis (96 yards, 2 TDs)
RB – Julius Jones (127 yards, 1 TD)
WR – Brandon Marshall – (18 catches, 166 yards)
WR – Anquan Boldin (6 catches, 140 yards, 3 TDs)
WR – Calvin Johnson (6 catches, 129 yards, 2 TDs)
K – Ryan Longwell (5 FGs)
Apologies to Adrian Peterson. Although you did run for 160 yards, Portis and Jones did outscore you from a fantasy perspective…..
