For the Week 1 Start and Bench list, I tried to stay away from the obvious choices. Obviously, play your Colts and Saints.
Start ‘Em Players
QB – Tony Romo vs. NYG - The Giants have a questionable secondary. Romo should pick them apart.
RB – Travis Henry vs. BUF - Will be pumped to go against his old team.
RB – Ahman Green vs. KC - KC defensive line has some issues.
WR – Andre Johnson vs. KC - Underrated receiver will do well.
WR – Deion Branch vs. TB - Secondary can be had.
TE – Vernon Davis vs. ARI - Keep an eye on this guy
K – Nate Kaeding vs. CHI - Could be a game of field goals
D – Minnesota vs. ATL - Tee time on Harrington
Bench ‘Em Players
QB – Matt Leinart vs. SF - SF’s corners will be tough be beat.
RB – Clinton Portis vs. MIA - Health is an issue and Miami D is tough.
RB – Jamal Lewis vs. PIT - Questions with CLE O line.
WR – Lee Evans vs. DEN - Champ Bailey wins this battle.
WR – Reggie Brown vs. GB - Pack at home and secondary will shut Brown down.
TE – LJ Smith vs. GB - See note regarding Brown.
K – Jason Hanson vs. OAK - Could be ugly low scoring game.
D – Arizona vs. SF - SF offense will be a handful.
WEEK 1 STUD PICK
RB – Frank Gore vs. Ariz
