Quarterbacks

Chief QB Damon Huard (head) didn’t play the final three quarters of Sunday’s game after suffering what the team called mild head trauma (Huard said it was a neck injury). He will be re-evaluated today. Tyler Thigpen replaced him.

Buc QB Jeff Garcia (ankle) was inactive Sunday. Brian Griese started for him.

Seahawk backup QB Seneca Wallace (calf), who was supposed to see some snaps at receiver in their last week, will miss two to four weeks.

Running Backs

Charger starting RB LaDainian Tomlinson (foot/toe) aggravated his sprained toe late in the second quarter of Sunday’s loss at the Broncos. He returned to the game late in the fourth quarter, but ran just four more times and caught only one pass after aggravating the injury. “It tightened up some, swelled up a little bit,” Tomlinson said, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. “The one thing I’m happy about is it didn’t get any worse after the game. I don’t feel any worse than I did last week after the game, which shows it is improving and healing.” Tomlinson said he did not plan to have the toe examined again. “Last week, I had it looked at,” he said. “Now, I don’t want to know.”

Jaguar RB Maurice Jones-Drew (ankle) was injured during Sunday’s loss to the Bills. He left the game briefly but returned. He will be re-evaluated today. Fred Taylor replaced Jones-Drew. Head coach Jack Del Rio didn’t mention Jones-Drew in his Monday press conference.

Falcon starting RB Michael Turner (ankle) had his leg in a bucket of ice after Sunday’s game, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. He suffered an ankle injury, but did not know when it occurred.

Patriot starting RB Laurence Maroney (shoulder) was injured during Sunday’s win at the Jets and will be re-evaluated on Monday. He left the game in the second quarter but returned briefly in the fourth quarter. He was originally listed as questionable to return. Maroney had shoulder surgery before the 2007 season.

Packer starting RB Ryan Grant (hamstring) came out of Sunday’s game “fine,” team doctor Patrick McKenzie said, even though he was clearly limited. Coach Mike McCarthy said any decision to sit him down for a game or two to let his injury heal would be a medical decision.

Raider starting RB Justin Fargas (groin) left Sunday’s win at the Chiefs in the first half and couldn’t finish the game. He’ll be re-evaluated on Monday. Fargas injured his groin midway through the second quarter when he tried to run a pass route down the sideline. He had 43 yards on nine carries before the injury. In his place, rookie Darren McFadden ran for 164 yards and a touchdown.

Raider RB Darren McFadden (toe) left Sunday’s game with a turf toe injury after torching the Chiefs for 164 rushing yards. McFadden will be re-evaluated today.

Packer starting FB Korey Hall (knee) suffered a knee sprain in Sunday’s game against the Lions. He has a lot of swelling but will be given until Friday to determine whether he can play on Sunday against Dallas, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported. John Kuhn filled in for him.

Wide Receivers

Buccaneer starting WR Joey Galloway (foot) was injured during the second half of Sunday’s win over the Falcons and couldn’t finish the game. He is believed to have a foot sprain, the Tampa Tribune reported Monday, and the Bucs probably won’t update the injury until at least Wednesday. The Tribune reported there’s a chance Galloway misses the Week Three game and maybe a few more. Starting WR Antonio Bryant will likely slide over to Galloway’s spot this week in practice.

Bear WR/KR/PR Devin Hester (ribs) left Sunday’s game with a rib injury. The Chicago Tribune reported that the Bears are waiting for the swelling to go down before taking an MRI of the left side of Hester’s rib area. The newspaper cited a source close to the player as saying that he didn’t take a hit in the area earlier in the game and that it is unlikely he is suffering from bruised or cracked ribs. The expectation is that Hester pulled something but more will not be known until he undergoes the MRI, which might not happen until (Tuesday).

Viking WR Sidney Rice (knee) suffered a mild PCL sprain during Sunday’s loss to the Colts and he’s considered very questionable for this week’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Seahawk WR Logan Payne (knee) will be placed on IR this week. Coach Mike Holmgren Monday that he’s expecting WRs Bobby Engram (shoulder) and Deion Branch (knee) back after the team’s Week Four bye.

Cowboy WR Miles Austin (knee) practiced Saturday and might be able to play tonight against the Eagles wearing a brace on his knee, the Dallas Morning News reported. He remains a game-time decision.

Brown WR Joshua Cribbs (ankle/hamstring) re-aggravated his ankle injury and also hurt his hamstring in Sunday’s game, according to the Medina County Gazette, but head coach Romeo Crennel said Cribbs could have returned to the game.

Brown Wide WR Donte’ Stallworth did not play Sunday because of a quadriceps injury. Backup WR Syndric Steptoe started for him.

Tight Ends

Colt TE Dallas Clark (knee) was inactive Sunday. Backup Tom Santi started for him, and rookie Gijon Robinson saw extensive action. Head coach Tony Dungy said Monday that Clark could practice this week but they won’t know his availibility for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars until later this week.

Bengal TE Ben Utecht (chest) was injured early in the first quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Titans and didn’t return. He’ll be re-evaluated on Monday.

Lion tight end Casey FitzSimmons (thumb) was injured in Sunday’s game and will be re-evaluated.

Patriot TE Benjamin Watson (knee) was inactive Sunday. TE David Thomas started for him.
