My goodness…that’s all I could say when I watched the below Hines Ward hit — which Hines Ward called a “clean hit” — one that broke the jaw of Keith Rivers.
Hines Ward lowered his helmet and plunged it straight into Keith River’s jaw in the video.
Horrible.

Sucks that the guy got his jaw broken…. The hit was clean.
9 outta 10 times the guy gets back up, plays the next down, later watches himself on the highlight reel after the game and nobody says squat except …. you got JACKED UP!
A great block. Rivers is ready to make the tackle, ward’s hit gives his team mate more yardage. You see identicle hits on kickoff’s and punt returns all the time. River’s learned the hard way to keep his head up.
