Updatesby Chris Mooney

Scouring for updates this morning, here some I’ve come across:

ESPN is reporting on the field that Eli Manning is expecting to play today and has no pain in his shoulder. Official word to come when they announce their starting lineup.

Sean Jensen, of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson should get a bulk of the carries Week 2 because of the likely absence of RB Chester Taylor (oblique, hip).

3:36: Raven WR Mark Clayton and Demetrius Williams are active.
3:35: QBs Steve McNair and Chad Pennington are both active. Once again, who starts for both these teams is a game-time decision.
3:33: Bear TE Greg Olsen is inactive.
3:32: Viking RB Chester Taylor is inactive. Adrian Peterson starts for him.
3:30: Raider QB Josh McCown is active. Whomever starts for this team will be a game time decision.

12:28: Another reminder that the Viking-Lion game is late, so we will not know the status of Chester Taylor by 1pm.
12:24: Some Ram Updates: WR Drew Bennett is active. CB Tye Hill, LB Pisa Tinoisamoa, and G Richie Incognito are inactive.
12:22: In case you were wondering, Bengal WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh and PK Shayne Graham are active and expected to start as usual.
12:17: The Bucs have injury issues; DE Patrick Chukwurah and CB Brian Kelly are inactive, good news for the Saint passing game. Phillip Buchanon starts for Kelly and he is shaky.
12:16: Buc RB Carnell Williams is active and is expected to play.
12:12: Just a reminder that the Jet-Raven game is a late game, so we will not know the statuses of Chad Pennington and Steve McNair before 1pm ET.
12:11: The Browns have made RB Jerome Harrison and WR Travis Wilson inactive.
12:10: Also for the Giants, PK Lawrence Tynes, DE Osi Umenyiora, S Gibril Wilson are active.
12:09: Packer RB Vernand Morency is inactive, so Brandon Jackson will carry the load.
12:02: Good news for the Titan running game: Colt LBs Freddy Keiaho and Rob Morris are inactive. That will definitely hurt their ability to stop the Titan running game.
12:01: Bill WR Josh Reed is inactive.
12:00: As expected, Falcon DT Rod Coleman and S Chris Crocker are inactive.
11:59: Packer WR Greg Jennings is out. James Jones will start for him.
11:58: It’s official, Eli Manning will start.
