This post will be updated as I come across more updates, but until then, here are some tidbits of information you may be able to use as you set your rosters:
12:34: In case you were wondering, Packer RB Vernand Morency is inactive.
12:24: Patriot WR Donte Stallworth is active and expected to start.
12:22: Buc WR Ike Hilliard is active.
12:17: Packer WRs Greg Jennings and James Jones are active. Jennings is expected to be the official starter opposite Donald Driver.
12:12: As expected, Lion RB Kevin Jones is active and should play.
12:11: Eagle RB Brian Westbrook is active. TE L.J. Smith is inactive. Matt Schobel starts for him and Brent Celek should play as well.
12:07: Raven QB Steve McNair is active and starting, but backup Kyle Boller is standing by if he struggles. Keep in mind the Cards blitz a lot and LT Ogden is out.
12:02: Great news for WR Anquan Boldin: Raven corner Samari Rolle is out.
12:01: More good news for Green: Colt LB Rob Morris is inactive.
12:00: Texan RB Ron Dayne is inactive, so Ahman Green should see plenty of carries.
11:59: Viking WR Tarvaris Jackson is inactive, Kelly Holcomb starts for him.
11:58: Viking WR Troy Williamson is also inactive, so if you need a long-shot, Robert Ferguson is someone to look at.
11:57: Viking RB Chester Taylor is inactive, so you can use Adrian Peterson knowing he will carry the load.
11:47: Bill corner Terrence McGee is inactive, a big loss for their secondary and return game.
11:42: 49er WRs Darrell Jackson and Arnaz Battle are active and in the starting lineup.
11:40: ESPN is reporting that Eagle S Brian Dawkins is out today, that’s a big blow to their defense and great news for the Lion offense.
Viking QB Tarvaris Jackson (groin) is listed as doubtful, but he is not expected to play. All signs point to QB Kelly Holcomb starting for the Vikings in Kansas City.
Jet QB Chad Pennington (ankle) continued to take snaps with the first-team offense on Thursday and Friday and is expected to start.
Eagle RB Brian Westbrook (knee) went through a full practice Friday and is still listed as questionable on the injury report. However, he is expected to start today, barring a pre-game setback. We’ll have his official status online in the 12 o’clock hour today.
Raider RB LaMont Jordan (back) practiced Friday and is expected to start, but the concern here is that he might have a pre-game setback. He plays in a late game, so we will not know his official status by 1pm ET. But again, he’s expected to start.
Lion RB Kevin Jones (foot) is listed as questionable but if he passes his pre-game tests, he will be active and he will play. How he plays isn’t exactly known, but no one should expect more than 20 snaps from Jones. If he gets more, that’s a good sign that his foot injury is not bothering him and that the team is willing to feed him the ball. Keep in mind Jones is from the Philly area, so he wants to play badly.
Packer RB Vernand Morency (knee) is not expected to play after experiencing more soreness in his right knee late this week. Rookie RB Brandon Jackson will again start in his place, backed up by rookie RB DeShawn Wynn. They will go with the more effective back once the game starts.
Viking RB Chester Taylor (hip) was limited in practice again Friday and will likely be a game time decision. He should be active and available to play, however. If he can’t play, RB Adrian Peterson would start again, backed up by Mewelde Moore.
Giant WR Plaxico Burress (ankle) was limited in practice Friday he will be a game-time decision. Unfortunately, he’s playing in a late game, so we won’t know by 1pm ET. We will say that he’s shown an ability to play when his status comes down to the wire – but he doesn’t play particularly well.
Packer WR Greg Jennings (hamstring) practiced on Friday and is expected to start today barring a pre-game setback. WR James Jones (hamstring) practiced on Friday and is also expected to play.
Patriot WR Donte Stallworth (knee) was limited in practice Thursday and Friday, and he’s listed as questionable, so make sure he’s active before you use him (and you better be in a deep league if you do).
Buc WR Ike Hilliard (ankle) is questionable and said Friday that he’ll do whatever it takes to play. If he can’t go, Michael Clayton would start for him.
Not sure if Viking WR Troy Williamson (hamstring) will start, but hopefully you don’t care. If you do, we’ll have his status online.
